A new era is set to begin for Racing Louisville FC as the club kicks off its 2024 campaign next month. With an influx of talent and a new coach at the helm, Louisville appears poised for a playoff push in its fourth NWSL season.

Racing fans, get hyped because our time is now! This squad is loaded and ready to shock the NWSL.  

Coach Bev Yanez has been grinding, getting this roster right to take us to the next level. She kept our superstars like Savannah DeMelo, Abby Erceg, Iron Women Katie Lund, Lauren Milliet, and Carson Pickett. Huge moves trading for Taylor Flint from the USWNT and signing World Cup beast Linda Motlhalo. Ellie Jean and Arin Wright make our defense straight-up nasty, too.  

And we’re bringing the attacking heat! Racing drafted UCLA baller Reilyn Turner, who can finish with the best in the NWSL. She’ll link up with returners like Parker Goins and Elexa Bahr to get goals. This team is a problem on both ends of the pitch.  

As Yanez said, this hungry squad is ready to put in the work and reach their potential. Our offense will be lit with more firepower up top, and midfielders like Jaelin Howell will feed them dimes all game long.  

Last season, we showed glimpses of success by making the Challenge Cup final. Now, with additional impact players added, it’s go time. We have everything needed to make the Challenge Cup Final once again and the NWSL playoffs for the first time. 

“We’ll be battling every minute to reward our fans with a playoff spot,” Howell said. “The talent and belief is here to accomplish big things.”

This is Racing’s moment. We handle business in the stands at Lynn Family Stadium, they take care of the action on the pitch to defend the home field while also stealing some wins on the road, and the playoffs are going to be happening for us this year.  

After patient building, 2024 feels different. This squad, plus our Loud Lavender Supporters, will prove this is the season we stun everyone and finally arrive at the championship doorstep. Let’s Go Racing!
