Lexington Clinches Sensational Win Over St. Charles FC

In a stunning showcase of skill and teamwork, Lexington Sporting Club’s W League team delivered a masterclass performance to demolish St. Charles FC with a resounding 6-0 victory. From the early moments of the game, it was clear that Lexington came prepared to dominate.

The match kicked off with both teams testing the waters, but it was Lexington who struck first in the 10th minute. Kailey Utley, demonstrating sublime technique, capitalized on an opportunity to fire a shot past the goalkeeper, setting the tone for what would become a goal-filled affair.

Just ten minutes later, Carola Fontan’s through pass found JJ Aalbue in stride to double Lexington’s lead. The pressure continued to mount on St. Charles as Makala Woods converted a penalty in the 25th minute, extending Lexington’s advantage to 3-0 before halftime.

Despite several near-misses and chaotic sequences in front of goal, Lexington went into the break feeling confident and motivated to build on their lead. The halftime adjustments proved effective as Nerea Munoz, shortly after the restart, scored her first goal of the season from a corner kick, making Lexington’s lead 4-0.

Lexington showed no signs of letting up, adding a fifth goal in the 59th minute courtesy of Leslie Kiesling, who capitalized on a superb assist from Steen. The team’s depth was showcased further with a goalkeeper change, as Catherine Graves took over from Madison Vukas in the 65th minute.

As the match entered its final stages, Lexington’s dominance was capped off by Kiesling’s second goal of the night in the 87th minute to complete her brace and seal the team’s 6-0 victory.
